CANCELED: Sunday Studio: Kimberly Faith Waid + Writopia Lab

All Ages

MOCA has taken specific measures to keep our visitors and staff healthy and safe. We have been monitoring coronavirus (COVID-19) closely and in line with suggestions from The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, we have decided to cancel Sunday Studio: Kimberly Faith Waid + Writopia Lab in an effort to help with containment. There is no immediate threat or cause for concern at MOCA, but we feel taking these measures are in the best interest of our broader Los Angeles community. MOCA Grand Avenue galleries and WAREHOUSE at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA are currently temporarily closed. Please continue to check our website for any additional updates.

Explore, discover, and create your own artwork inspired by the works on view in Seven Stations: Selections from MOCA’s Collection. Writopia Lab’s mission is to foster joy, literacy, and critical thinking in young people through creative writing. They use a unique writing methodology with a focus on diversifying the writing field and instilling confidence in those who have not yet found their voice. Writopia Lab hopes to reach writers across all backgrounds.

Sunday Studio is MOCA’s free, drop-in event featuring art experiences for makers of all ages and experience levels. Programs include family-friendly tours, art-making explorations, music, and a space with activities designed just for toddlers. Join the fun!
